I have noticed the rubber blades may not last as long as competitors and when doing research outside my own firsthand experience, some customer reviews indicate that quality-control issues are a concern. This isn't a replacement for a good application of the product, but works in between doing it by hand. For those unaware, this is a hydrophobic silicone polymer that causes water to bead on the glass and lessons its adhesion making it easier to either wipe off or even get blown off by airflow. The real party-trick is the blade is embedded with Rain-X's windshield treatment. The synthetic rubber blade has a graphite treatment for chatter-free performance in the wet and the transition back to dry. The Latitude sweeps across flat and curved windshields at the ideal sweep angle despite its slightly higher than stock arm mounting height. Rain-X claims the adapter covers 96 percent of all vehicle mounting situations. The Rain-X Latitude comes with a pre-installed universal adaptor, holding the wiper blade firmly in place on the bayonet wiper arm. The pre-stressed spring steel internal beam structure holds the wiper blade on curved and flat windshields, and the aerodynamic shape helps reduce noise and high-speed chatter. Excellent performance and easy installation put the Rain-X 2-IN-1 Latitude at the top of the pile for value.
